Penguin Young Readers is excited to join SLJ’s Day of Dialog—a long awaited event of the Spring 2021 publishing season! We’ll have two booths at the event so please stop by for more information on our titles and resources for your school or library! We are also pleased to present our talented authors that will be speaking during the daylong program. 

Award-winning author Andrea Wang will talk tween issues and her middle-grade debut THE MANY MEANINGS OF MEILAN on the Navigating the Road to Adulthood panel. It is moderated by Resident Librarian of Towson University (MD) Myiesha Speight.

Malinda Lo, critically acclaimed author of LAST NIGHT AT THE TELEGRAPH CLUB will address identity and coming-of-age truths on the Lunch Keynote Conversation. The presentation will be introduced by Alea Perez, the Head of Kids’ Library in Elmhurst Public Library (IL).

Sarah Kuhn, author of FROM LITTLE TOKYO, WITH LOVE, will discuss swoon-worthy comedies on the All Heart panel. It is moderated by Susannah Goldstein, Librarian of The Brearley School (NY).

 

Chelsea Clinton, author of the #1 New York Times bestselling “She Persisted” series, will be leading the She Persisted panel with fellow authors, Sayantani DasGupta (SHE PERSISTED: VIRGINIA APGAR), Meg Medina (SHE PERSISTED: SONIA SOTOMAYOR) and Michelle Knudsen (SHE PERSISTED: NELLIE BLY). It will be moderated by Kristin L. Anderson of Jackson County Library Services (OR) and School Library Journal.
