Join this 1 hour long free webinar to hear from educators turned authors as they talk about culturally responsive books in the classroom. We all acknowledge that every kid deserves to see themselves in books, but how do these authors internalize that in their own writing? How do they use books, their own and others, to affirm the humanity of their students and advance antiracism in their work as educators? How can these ideas and practices be taken on by fellow teachers and librarians in the 2020-2021 school year and beyond? Tune in Wed. 10/ 28 at 3:30 CT/ 4:30 EST to hear a discussion of these topics and more.
Educators turned Authors include Simran Jeet Singh, Jessica Kim, Torrey Maldonado, and Candice Iloh, moderated by Julia E. Torres.
